And Planting Lilacs and Buttercups

I guess it's no surprise that I'm a geek. My major trip of the summer was The Wizarding World of Harry Potter that opened just recently at Islands of Adventure at Universal Studios, in Orlando, FL! It was an amazing experience, I went with two of my friends and we had a blast! The rides, especially the Forbidden Journey ride, were awesome! I was even pleased with the waiting part in lines. I liked how they made waiting in line an experience. While waiting for the Forbidden Journey ride (the one in Hogwarts Castle) you got to go through different classrooms and offices and see things up close from the movie! I really liked the ride, it was probably the best one I've ever been on, but I'm a big Harry Potter fan! Everything at the park was a bit expensive. I got many souvenirs, a Ravenclaw scarf, tshirt, Quibbler glasses, Butterbeer and DA mug, for a high price, but it was worth it! The food was not bad either. I got a rotisserie chicken, corn on the cob and seasoned potatoes all for 10 dollars and it was delicious. Hogsmeade was beautifully built and I'm glad they incorporated things from Diagon Alley! The park was very crowded, especially in the Harry Potter part, but it was overall a great trip! And for the record the Butterbeer taste like butterscotch cream soda with foamy whipped cream on top and it is yummy, and so is the Pumkin Juice!

We live on Fascination. Say the Word.

So, finally catching up on True Blood this morning and I always forget how awesome that show is until I jump right back into it! I read the books when I was younger; before it got to be a tv show and I was thinking that I would read them again! In the books Sookie is way more hard core and not so whiney! I also really like some of the new side stories that they made for the show that were not in the novels. Like Sam's story is expanded with his family, LaFayette was killed in the first book, I really like Jessica and that Tara plays more of a role. I really wonder if they will even touch on the Elvis, oops I mean Bubba, stuff like they do in the books. Overall, one of my favorite shows out there and definatley not as cheesy as Twilight or any of those other vampire diaries, teen sagas. I also love that Charlaine Harris is this average looking middle aged woman, who would be a cute southern soccer mom or something. It's great! The casting on the show was great Alan Ball did a great job! And I most love how everything is moved from the book to the boobtube in such an awesome way!

So enough gushing I suppose...
